

Julia N. Mitchell, 92, of Lakewood, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017. Julia was born in St. Petersburg, Florida on November 18,1925. She moved to Colorado after graduating from St. Petersburg High School and then Florida State University.
Julia is survived by her daughter, Teena Cooper of Lakewood, son, Scott (Debbie) Williams of Golden, step-daughter, Betsy (Tim) Joseph of Fort Collins, and step-son Kent Mitchell of Denver, grandchildren Christopher, Patrick, Jason, Cassandra, Hannah, Delmar, Travis, Brittany, Qwist, Lacey. She is preceded in death by sisters, Annie, Florence, Pearl, and Evelyn, brother, Clarence, daughter, Linda Lantzy, step-son, Steve Mitchell and beloved husband, Kyle Mitchell.
Her immediate family is so grateful for the care, compassion, and encouragement for Julia from the staff at Bear Creek Center in Morrison, Colorado and The Sun Crest Hospice over the past months. We can never express our love and thanks enough for what you did for her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made on behalf of Julia to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Funeral service will be at Olinger Crown Hill Pavilion of Reflection January 22, 2018 at 11:00am.
