To Aunt Elda and all my cousins,
My heart goes out to all of you as you morn the loss of your husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, your friend.  I still miss Daddy every day and he has been gone since October of 2004.  It doesn't seem like it has been that long ago.  It was good to see Daddy's picture with Larry on the video.  You are all in my thoughts and prayers.  Lean on each other as God intends you to do.  Take time to extend love and forgiveness and sympathy to one another.  It means so much and it is together that you will get through this difficult time.  One memory I will always have of being with Uncle Ken and Aunt Elda and my cousins, which was not real often, are the times my dad and mom would host barbeque parties or we'd come over to your house for the afternoon.  Usually we would all grill hamburgers together.  I even remember getting my finger cut in the top of a tetter-totter when some of us kids were climbing on a swing set and some of the other kids came over and started swinging on the tetter totter.  I remember mom needing to take me to the hospital for stitches.  It seemed that I was an accident magnet.  Love to all of you. To Aunt Elda, Larry and Linda Hietbrink, Linda and Mike Compton, Brad, Keith, Kevin, Patrick, and Susan Perrin, significant others, as well as all the grandchildren and great grandchildren,

I remember when my Dad and Mom would spend lots of time with your parents, my aunt and uncle when we lived out in Colorado.  I know that your husband/father/grandfather will be missed by all of you.  In his younger years he loved life and he loved to laugh. We enjoyed many family barbeques together.  I am sure my dad is greeting your dad at heaven's gate and is very happy to see him.  Lean on each other as family now because you all need one another.  Life is much too short to hold any grudges.  Love and forgive and enjoy each other for the rest of your days.  Love and prayers go out to you all.  Your niece and cousin, Kim (Hietbrink) and Jack Jr. Tarr, Ray and Elvera Hietbrink's second daughter and her spouse.
