Kenneth Robert Stattman

Born on September 30th 1945 in Chicago, Illinois. Ken lived a life defined by dedication, integrity, and love. He was a devoted proud father, cherished grandfather, and loyal friend. His steady presence, generous heart, and quiet strength touched everyone who knew him.

Ken went to Northern Illinois University where he joined a fraternity. To this day he still talks to some of his old Frat friends who remember him by the nickname "Slick". Ken was a former teacher at Chicago Board of Education from December 31, 1967 through June 29, 1971 and Pikes Peak State College teacher from June 30, 1973 through December 30, 1977. He was also a former builder/developer, and a former realtor with Remax until he retired, where he was respected not only for his work ethic but also for the kindness and fairness he showed to colleagues and clients alike. He believed in doing things the right way and led by example every day.

Outside of work, he found joy in life's simple pleasures. Whether it was golfing which was his favorite all time activity, reading crosswords, or taking a walk around the many lakes around our neighborhood. He loved cheering on his favorite teams (Bears and Broncos), watching Golf or any sport. He made ordinary moments feel special. He was happiest when surrounded by family.

He was preceded in death by Lilian Zarzechy, his mother, Stephan Stattman, his father, Ben Stattman, his son, Marie Dalton, his sister, and Rich Jurkowski, his brother.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Rachael Taylor and her husband, Ray Taylor; his grandchild, Rylee Taylor; and many extended family members and dear friends. Ken was married to Carol Stattman for 44 years.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 10 AM with a reception to follow at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary at the Pavilion of Reflection.

Though are hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
