Leland M. Covert, age 97, passed away November 28, 2017. Leland was born January 4, 1920 in Cameron, West Virginia. Leland was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps and flew B-25’s during WWII. He worked as a classified shop foreman for Public Service Company of Colorado prior to his retirement in 1982. Leland was very active throughout life and enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and being outdoors. He was always very mechanical and had a strong work ethic. He was a good husband, father and grandfather. Leland will be missed by his son Barry L. and his wife Gail C. Covert; grandsons Brandt B. Covert and Shane R. and his wife Fernanda L. Covert and great grandson Jake B. Covert. Leland was preceded in death by his first wife Mary L. Covert and his second wife Mary F. Covert. Visitation will be Friday, December 1, 2017 from 12-1:00pm; graveside service with military honors will begin at 1:00pm both at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary and Cemetery, reception will follow the services.
