Leta Mae Techentien, age 89, passed away on September 16, 2022. Lee was born September 11, 1933 in Saginaw, Michigan and graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1951. Lee married Wallace A Techentien in 1954 and quickly started a family. Religion and Eastern Star were a key part of Lee’s life as she focused on raising her children and supporting Wally in his work and many Masonic organizations. After the children were grown, Lee worked for an OBGYN’s office as an administrator and made lifelong friends. She was a member of Eastern Star and earnestly supported several charities over her many years.
Lee was a thoughtful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and will be missed dearly by her family and friends; children: Bruce Techentien, Laura (Jim) Hahn, Ron Techentien, Mark (Linda) Techentien; grandchildren: Eric Hahn, Matt Hahn, Conor Techentien, Marion (Brian) Bartholomew, Bret (Leah) Techentien and Danny (Sydney) Techentien; great-grandchildren: Finley Techentien, Ford Techentien; sister Joan Hall, and sister-in-law Ruth Techentien. Throughout her life Lee was committed to family and making a positive difference through supporting charitable causes most notably Shriners Children’s Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wally Techentien, parents Emil and Marion Fleischmann, brother Thomas Fleischmann, and infant daughter Terry Techentien.
A Private Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 8th at Olinger Crown Hill’s Pavilion of Reflection.
