Lorian Emma Taylor (Bullock) Carraway of Golden, Colorado, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the age of 91. Lorian, called “Honey” by her grandchildren and great grandchildren was born February 12, 1926 in Ogden, Utah. Her husband of 34 years, Jesse B. Carraway, Jr., precedes her in death. She is survived by her five children, Van Bullock, Cindy Flowers, Lindy Schossow, Mindy Costanzo, Alan Bullock, Step-son Jay Carraway and step daughter, Jan Chavez, and respectively their families including 20 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter. Lorian’s school history includes graduating from Mountain View High School at the age of 16 and went on to complete two years of college at the University of Wyoming.
Lorian was a certified pilot at age 18, managed a successful home business in Copper Products, played the piano, taught cake-decorating, became an expert seamstress, sang in the church choir at Golden’s Presbyterian Church, was president of Golden High School’s PTA in the 60’s, was a Graduate Assistant at Dale Carnegie and was past-president of PEO Chapter ER in Golden. Lorian enjoyed “people” and made it a personal mission to form a personal relationship with everyone she met. We are thankful to God for the gift of this wonderful woman, wife, mother and grandmother.
