

Marilyn married LeRoy ‘Roy’ Herdt on November 6th, 1943 in Denver. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, LeRoy Herdt in 2011, and both daughters, Karla Shands in 2016 and Linda Hansen in 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
Surviving is her Son, Ron Herdt and wife Tan of Thornton, Colorado. Marilyn has Granddaughters, Stacey Jones, Julie Lierman, Amanda Schuh, Rachel Howley and Grandson’s, Brian Harris and Craig Harris. She has 18 Great-Grandchildren and 11 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
During Roy and Marilyn’s marriage they lived in many places in Colorado while Roy grew his career at Mountain Bell. A favorite place was their gorgeous mountain home on Lookout Mountain in Colorado. They moved to Sun Lakes, Arizona in the 90’s. Marilyn returned to Windsor 8 years ago, recently moving to Thornton a little over a year ago.
Marilyn’s tenacity and engaging personality made her Real Estate career take off. She had an amazing ability to connect with people and welcome you into her life and home with grace and humility. She won The Harold J. Hurt Trophy in 1973 for being the top Residential Producer for Moore Realty Company as well as earning a spot in the Million Dollar Sales Club. She continued to have an excellent Real Estate career, ultimately retiring in 1986 after 20 years.
Marilyn will surely be missed by all. Services will be held on Tuesday, October 22nd at 2pm in the Pavilion of Reflections at Crown Hill with a graveside service to follow. Celebration of Life Reception will be in the Pub at Bonaventure at 4:30.
