We lost our dear Marlene on Saturday, October 2nd. She went peacefully at her home, after a long battle with ALS. She was attended to by her loving husband Stephen.
Steve and Marlene, as a devoted couple, have us a loving example of partnership, compromise and tenderness.
Marlene loved watching sports with Steve, botanical gardens, tracking the birds' antics over the bird feeder in the back yard, and cousin Dan's dog, Scruffy, who, near the end, entertained and comforted Marlene.
But the loves of her life were the Mountains, her church, and her dear husband, Steve.
Marlene had quiet ways; Helping others with little fanfare - living her Christian faith.
She had humor, generosity and loving kindness, and a true strength of character.
We are all better having known Marlene. She is now at peace in Heaven.
