

Mary Lou Steadman, née Cooke (previously Faulkner), passed away on February 24, 2026, at the age of 76 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Born on January 23, 1950, in Twin Falls, Idaho, Mary Lou was known for her generous and upbeat personality, touching the lives of many.
Mary Lou dedicated her career to caring for others as an administrator at Golden Manor Assisted Living, where her compassion and leadership were invaluable. Outside of her professional life, she was passionate about watching sports, spending quality time with her grandchildren, and delved deeply into genealogy, tracing her family's history with great enthusiasm.
Mary Lou was married to Emmett Faulkner, who she had four children with. She was later remarried to Jim Steadman, who she spent the rest of her life with.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, Bill Cooke and Alice Tracy; and her sisters, Lorraine Tate and Jan Tate. She leaves behind her loving husband, Jim Steadman, and a large blended family that includes her children, Sage Faulkner, Heidii Henderson (married to JR Henderson), Reif Faulkner (married to Shana Faulkner), Trask Faulkner, Lynn Proctor (married to Mike Proctor), Jimmy Steadman, Michelle Steadman, and Erinn Baker (married to James Johnson). Her siblings, Richard Cooke, Billie Cooke, Linda Henderson, Anita Perry, Larry Tate, Johnny Tate, and Jean Tate also survive her.
Mary Lou's legacy continues through her grandchildren, Deton Faulkner, Andre Cruz, Tiana Hunter (married to Jourdon Hunter), Bailey Henderson, Drey Henderson, Addyson Faulkner, Terrace Henderson, Jett Faulkner, Evan Steadman (married to Jojo Steadman), Kurtis Steadman (married to Joann Steadman), Carrie Boggs, Jessica Steadman (married to Justin Lewis), Chris Steadman, and Josh Steadman. She and Jim also have 11 great-grandchildren combined.
A memorial service will be held on March 10th at 12 pm at Olinger Crown Hill in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. A funeral service will follow on March 16th at 10 am at St Edward’s Church (161 6th Ave E, Twin Falls Idaho, 83301). Mary Lou's life will be celebrated by all who knew her, remembering a life beautifully lived.
