Mary Elizabeth McClellan

The Hamiltons moved to the Denver area when Mary was very young where she was raised by her parents along with her big sister and life long best friend, Eleanor. Growing up and throughout her life Mary enjoyed her extended family including aunts, uncles and cousins. Mary attended the University of Northern Colorado where she met her future husband, Robert N. McClellan. They married on August 16, 1958 and remained married until Bob’s death in 2016. Mary worked in the banking industry prior to going to work for General Cable. Mary and Bob had two children Shawn and Shereen.

Mary was quick to make friends and was especially passionate about the friendships she forged with her Golfing Group and Ladies Night Out. She enjoyed many trips to visit Eleanor and her husband Roger Ingerson. She also enjoyed her close relationship with her nephew Doug and wife Julie Ingerson. Mary loved watching her grandchildren Rachel and Adam North grow up. She was always ready to host a tea party or cheer at a baseball game. She was thrilled to welcome her great-grandson Auden Sabor North to the family.

She is survived by her sister Eleanor Ingerson; daughter Shereen McClellan North and husband Adam; granddaughter Rachel North, husband Brody Sabor, great grandson Auden and grandson Adam North II. She was preceded in death by husband Robert N. McClellan; son Shawn McClellan; parents Lillian and John Hamilton; and sweet poodle Belle.

Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 3 with graveside service following at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 7777 W. 29th Avenue in Wheat Ridge, CO. Condolences may be offered at OlingerCrownHillMortuary.com
