Mary was born on June 8, 1933, in Littleton, Colorado, to Theodore and Frances Koldeway. She was the youngest child of ten and grew up on the family dairy farm. Mary stayed close to her siblings and family throughout her life. Being surrounded by her family and friends brought her happiness, while being a devout Catholic.
Mary married James Taylor and had five children. Rosemary, Ted, Patrick, Theresa, and Chris brought happiness and love into their home. They moved to West Chicago, Illinois, where they lived for about 14 years. They moved back to Colorado in 1979 and enjoyed being close to family and friends in the Denver area.
Mary will be remembered for her compassion, kindness, and spiritual strength. She had a deep love of God, her Catholic faith, and most of all her family. She also enjoyed crocheting and gardening, especially with her sister Grace. She was a member of the All Souls Catholic Church for many years. She, with her siblings, followed the request of their parents to stay close and keep the family close after their passing. For years she and her siblings gathered for family rosaries, birthdays, meals, and the largest gathering for Christmas.
She is survived by five children: Rosemary Lucero (Duane) of Littleton, CO, Theodore Taylor (Peggy) of Carol Stream, IL, Patrick Taylor (Cheryl) of Bennett, CO, Theresa Dehart (Jeff) of Littleton, CO, and Christopher Taylor (Angela) of Denver; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, nine siblings, and James Taylor.
A rosary and visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 7:00 PM at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary, 7777 W. 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO. Mary’s legacy of kindness, dedication to her family, and love will continue to live on in the many lives she touched.
