Maya Brooks Griswold

Maya was a brilliant writer and an amazing sister and daughter. Her passion for animals translated into her passion for all living beings. Her humor and wit brightened every room she entered. While she was talented beyond belief, she was also humble. She was wise beyond her years and a rock for all those around her. She was beautiful inside and out. As a child, she constantly drew pictures and wrote of world peace. Her interest in social causes continued as she became involved in the fight for the global water crisis. In high school she was an avid volunteer for several causes, and loved doing all she could to help those around her. Her tenacity and work ethic were truly inspiring. Maya's beautiful soul and energy is a great loss for this world.

Maya is survived and missed dearly by her mother Veronica Yada and father Matthew Griswold; sister Zoe Griswold and sister Bryn Griswold; her beloved puppy and best friend Zeppelin.

Private services will be held. Inurnment at Golden Cemetery in Golden, Colorado. Due to her undeniable love and passion for animals, in lieu of flowers, contributions in Maya's memory may be made to The Denver Dumb Friends League , Denver.
