A Denver native, Mel graduated from North High School in 1956. He served in the Army in Europe.
After returning to Denver, he worked for the Rocky Mountain News until retiring in 2000.
Mel was an avid golfer, true blue and orange Broncos fan, and a lifelong active member of NHPC.
His greatest joy in life, however, was the time he spent with his family and friends.
Mel will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lenora Ingram; children, Tim (Lori) Ingram and Laura Ingram; grandson, Nicholas Ingram; and brothers, Larry Ingram, Donald (Merrilyn) Ingram and Stephen (Phyllis) Ingram.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10 am on Monday, July 13, 2015 at North Highland Presbyterian Church, 3401 W. 29th Avenue, Denver, Colorado 80211.
Donations may be made in Melvyn's name to North Highland Presbyterian Church - General Fund.
