

Mildred “Mickey” Bowman passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado at the remarkable age of 103. She was born February 22, 1922 in Hickory, North Carolina to Anna Bolick Deal and Sydney Deal. She was the youngest of 10 children. She graduated from North High School in Denver. She was married to Carroll Bowman in 1939 in Golden, Colorado. They had 3 children, Dwane, Connie and Bruce. She is survived by Bruce Bowman and daughter-in-law Carolyn, and daughter-in-law Jean Bowman. She has 4 grandchildren, Denise Schwartz (Bryan), Debbie Kohut Bowman, Kaelyn Bowman (Amanda) and Lindsey Zelie (Joel), and 5 great-grandchildren Jack, Morgan, Brooks, Ana and Everett. She worked for the State of Colorado for more than 30 years until her retirement. She was very active in Wheat Ridge United Methodist Church.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and friend known for her sweetness and genuine kindness. Mickey had a rare gift for making everyone around her feel welcome and cared for. Her gentle presence, warm smile and thoughtful spirit left a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Mickey lived a full and vibrant life, rich with experiences and memories. She loved the Colorado mountains. She was well traveled and deeply curious about the world embracing new places and cultures with enthusiasm and grace. Her long life was a testament not only to her years, but to the love, wisdom and perspective she shared so generously.
Above all Mickey treasured her family. She took great joy in time spent together and will be remembered for the quiet strength, patience, and love that anchored generations. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
