

Muriel Marvine (Nelson) Hageman was born February 18, 1925 near Gordon, Nebraska to Marvin & Beatrice Nelson and passed away November 3, 2016 in Lakewood, CO, at 91 years old. The Nelson family moved near Denby, South Dakota in 1929 to a ranch and farming area where Muriel went to school and later taught grades 1-8 for three years in a little country school. The family heard the true word of God in 1930 and Muriel made her choice to serve God at the age of 11 and remained faithful throughout her life.
Muriel married Rodell Hageman of Denver, Colorado on September 9, 1946 and to this union six children were born; Carolyn Crawford Donovan (Littleton, CO), Roger Hageman (Denver, CO), Loraine and husband Kim Edwin Lee (Poway, CA), JoAnn and husband Steve Blank (Golden, CO), Linda and husband Ed Todd (Littleton, CO), and Marilyn and husband Kris Anderson (Lakewood, CO).
Muriel was a homemaker and lived in Nebraska, Denver, Colorado, Downey, California, and returned back to Lakewood, Colorado in 1996. She ran a day care for children for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rod, on June 16, 2004 in Lakewood, Colorado; parents, Marvin and Beatrice Nelson and brother, Lyle Nelson. Muriel is survived by brothers, Ted and wife Lupita Nelson (Monterrey, Mexico) and Forest and wife Lillian Nelson (Rushville, Nebraska); six children; twelve grandchildren and two step grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and three step grandchildren; sister-in-law Lillian Blomquist and brother-in-law Cleo Hageman; and many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
Funeral Service Thursday, November 10 at 10:00 a.m., followed by Interment at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary and Cemetery, 7777 W 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Reception to follow interment at Arbor House at Maple Grove Park, 14600 W 32nd Ave Golden, CO.
