Patricia Louise Pitt

Patricia Louise Pitt, age 89, passed away at home on January 10th surrounded by her family. Patricia was a Colorado native, wife of Wallace (Ben) Pitt, daughter of Gladys and Cyrus Warner. Patricia was a graduate of Cripple Creek High School and attended Adams State University.

Patricia attended grade school in Guffey, Colorado. This was a one-room schoolhouse grades 1st through 8th. This is where she met the love of her life Bennie.

Patricia was an incredible piano player. She played in a band that entertained the 4-mile community for the Saturday night dances. Up until the very end of her life she would still sit down to play on a quiet day. What a joy.

Patricia was very involved in her family’s activities. She was a Girl Scout leader, Sunday school teacher, PTA president and foster parent. She also was a great seamstress, often making our matching clothes.

Patricia also enjoyed doll making as a hobby. Her largest project was the replicas of the United States First Ladies in their inauguration gowns.

Later in her life Patricia became very witty and sassy. She always had a comeback for her grandkids to all our surprise.

Patricia was a great neighbor and friend. Always willing to help or simply visit.

Patricia was predeceased by her parents Gladys and Cyrus Warner, brother Glen Warner, grandson Austin Pitt and husband Wallace Pitt.

She is survived by her children and grandchildren, all of whom brought her great joy. Children Annette (Pitt) Losey, Robert Pitt (Adele) and Susan (Pitt) Chavez; grandchildren Christopher Losey (Pam), Kimberly (Losey) Romero (Dominic), Miriah Abram, Melinda Abram, Schuyler Pitt (Caity), Travis Pitt (Jamie), Chad Chavez (Sarah), Corbett Chavez, Tyler Chavez, Brady Chavez (Megan); and many great-grandchildren: Hunter Romero, Cody Romero, Addison Romero, Erin Smith, Ashley Gazewood, Roan Pitt, Tatem Pitt, Ayla Pitt, Mayley Pitt, Ryan Chavez, Mia Chavez, Pixie Chavez, Harley Chavez; great-great grandchildren Boston Smith, Jack Smith & Aleksander Smith.

Patricia will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

A visitation for Patricia will be held Friday, January 28, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
