

Peggy Green Olson passed away on July 23, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born on October 15, 1937 in El Paso, Texas, to Glen and Helen (Stover) Green. She is survived by: husband Les Olson; son, Robert Olson; daughter, Christine Dufficy (Steve) and two grandchildren – Quinn and Keller Dufficy; sister, Sandra (Al) Braden of Austin, Texas and brother, Glen (Sharon) Green of Yantis, Texas; as well as a nephew, several nieces, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Peggy spent her youth in El Paso, Texas. She was artistic and pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Colorado, Boulder graduating in 1959. Soon after college, she met, fell in love with and married Les Olson in Denver, Colorado in 1961. Together they raised a family and were self-employed and successful in their ventures. They worked side by side in investing in homes to owning a brokerage and Real Estate Appraising business.
Peggy most enjoyed being around family and filling them with wonderful food. She was a lifelong learner and passionate reader, always researching information to look up facts and satiate her curiosity. Peggy enjoyed travel with many family trips to Minnesota and Texas over the years and she especially enjoyed spending time with family in southern Colorado at her home away from home.
Services will be held Thursday, August 1st at 9:30 a.m. at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, Pavilion of Reflection.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to a charity of your choice.
