Today has been three years since you left, it feels as though it was just yesterday.   I can still feel your presence, hear your voice  and your laugh and see your smile.  Your memory is so alive, I will never let it die.  The pain has not gotten any easier Dad, if anything it has gotten harder. In May, I went back to New York to stay with Lenerd while Thia went to see her mom for a week.  I saw the Statue  of Liberty  and where the Twin Towers were.  I had a very nice mother's day with the kids.  Our Autumn continuated from the 8th grade, she looked so pretty.  In September she will be in the 9th grade at South High School, a Freshman.  All three of our earthlings are getting so tall.  You would be so proud of all 4 of our earthlings, they are all doing very good.  I know that you are looking down on  us and smiling and watching over us.  I Miss you more than you will ever know.

In April, I went to the eye doctor and, he said I needed surgery in both eyes so, I did one a week.  By the 3rd week I had 20/20 in both eyes.  Hito had his 49th birthday he is doing okay, you know how hito is.  Our grandson is officially a teenager he is getting so tall.  It has been very cold, so I have been watching Westerns all day just like we use to do.  Miss you more than you will ever know.

Well, I got all of Jackie's  things out of her house.  I have boxes in the kitchen and living room that I have to go through.  It has been a year since Madeline went to see you.  I told her to tell you that I miss you so much and to give you a hug from me.  I spent the day with Lucille, she talked alot of Madeline calling her my best friend.  Miss you so much.

In February I went back to San Francisco to take care of Lenerd, he was doing a little better. Lenerd has a brother-in-law Alan that took us to see the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz  Prison.  We went to Fishermen Wart and walked around and saw the ships.  We eat at the diner that I know you had walked by when you were there, it was just like you said it was.  I know that you were there with me when I saw the ocean for the first time.  Then I went to New York with Lenerd to take care of him .  Our friend Jackie passed away when I was in New York.  Tell her that her cat is being well taken care of.  Miss you so much.

It has been a while since I have talked to you, I will tell you what has happen.  On December 25th Lenny had a heart attack, so I went to San Fransisco to take care of him for three weeks, Thai had to go back to New York.  I didn't see much of San Fransisco, I know you would have gone out to see the city.  I came back to Denver for a week and was able to put all the Christmas stuff put away.  Miss you more than you will ever know.

Dad, Another Mother's Day without you, how I missed you so much today.  I tried to make it special for mom like you always did.  I gave her a miniature rose bush so she can plant with the other miniature roses you planted for her.  We had a steak dinner, I know you would of liked that she enjoyed her steak.  I Love You, days like today just are not the same anymore, no matter how hard I try.  There is always that piece of your heart that is missing that brings it all together.  The laughter, smile the core of the family YOU, you are missing.  Mom misses you so much too.  Continue to be her guardian angel and watch over her.  I hope I am doing a good job in your eyes, and I keeping my promise to you and will continue to do so.  I Love You Dad I think of you everyday, time has not made it any easier. Merry Christmas Peewee, all the kids came over today and they liked everything we got them.  Our baby Athena was happy she had more gifts than the other two.  I hope you liked the Christmas present our baby Athena made for you.   She was in the bedroom the other day dancing and talking to you.  The kids enjoyed opening up their gifts they were excited.  The the newlyweds made too, Savannah liked the dream catcher.  We had Turkey with red chilie, mash potatoes and your sweet potatoes.  We pulled another one off the kids were very happy.  Miss you more than you can ever think.

Merry Christmas Dad, I miss you this would be your time to shine.  You would have the Christmas music playing, singing, laughing smiling ear to ear having a good old time watching the grandkids having fun.  Now all I have are memories many many good memories.  Gosh I miss you so much, this time of year is especially harder knowing how much you loved the music and lights.  Merry Christmas Dad hope you have a great one up there tell everyone hi. Happy Birthday, hope you enjoyed your chocolate cake, and mexican hambuger that you always like to have on your birthday.  Even though you only eat half like you always do.  The earthlings sang Happy Birthday to you and Athena made you a card.  The newlyweds came by and brought you a card too.  Your chilie pant is still going and the tomatoe plant only latest till last week.  The last of them are turning red on the house.  Started to put up the Christmas decorations and the earthlings helped with them.  Miss you a whole lot, more than you will ever know.

Hope you a nice Birthday up there dad, we all missed here.  We had a cake Athena made you a Birthday card, we put it in your chair.  Oh, dad I miss you so so much.  It has been a year and the pain is not any less if anything it hurts more and I miss even more now.  The pain and the void are still there.   I want to walk in the room and just say  "How are doing today dad?"  Just to hear your voice and little laugh and to see your smile .  Your favorite season is coming , I can just picture  you singing to the kids "You better watch out, you better not cry, I'm telling you why, Santa Clause is coming to to town".   The holidays just aren't the same any more.  I Love You Dad and always will

Went to the first ever Martinez Family Reunion, and just about everyone was there.  Almost all your nieces and nephews were there, met a few I had never met before.  Even Shirley made it, and all her family.  Veronica went overboard on the food, got enough to feed two armies.  Everybody had a good time, and behaved themselves.  They had raffles and a lot of Broncos stuff.  We didn't win that but did win a basket with movies and candy.  We also won a basket with scratch tickets and quick pick lotto tickets, but didn't win anything.  We even got t-shirts that said "It's a Martinez thing you wouldn't understand".  Everybody had a great time, and hopefully there will another one soon.  Miss you a whole lot.

We went camping, the fish said to say "Hi". It was as beautiful as ever, there was a lot of flowers this time.  Juan caught the biggest fish and then Juanito with the 2nd biggest, but neither was as big as yours.  The camp host retired.  There was so many hummingbirds, we had never seen that many in one trip.  Every now and then I could picture you coming up the road with your fish.  The water was pretty high, we couldn't  get to your side of the lake, we will get there next year.  Miss you a whole lot and your baby Athena said she loves you and misses you.

We are enjoying Vegas and I cant help but think of you everywhere we go.. Been making sure me and Carlos take the time to people watch and enjoy life in the moment... but he says He didn't come here to sleep he came to enjoy himself. Ring a bell?? Haha you where right next to us this whole time telling me to keep it moving. I got u a neat souvenir.  The color was only blue or pink sorry about that. See u when I get back!! Missed you on my Birthday, telling me Happy Birthday you old battle ax.  Went to the family reunion at  Eddie's Ranch.  We stood at Leonards house, he has done alot to it, it's starting to look really nice.  It will be another 2 years before they are completely done with it.  Stood there with the kids for a week they really enjoyed it, they climbed down the rocks and played in the river.  Our next adventure is getting ready for camping.  Miss you.

Hi, dad just wanted you to know I miss you and think of you everyday.  Mom is doing good keeping busy.  Your jalapenos don't look as big, we still don't know how you did it with them.  Athena has been asking about you, all the earthlings miss you.  We have the best angel watching over us, Thank You.  Love you and miss you so much 

Planted your garden with tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini and chilies and they are doing very good.  We have some onions coming out too.  Been working on the yard it's looking very nice.  Trying to stay ahead of the weeds, I have been spraying them.  Painted the deck it looks very nice.  Still have to go to the garage and go through the air mattress, we had told Lenard  we would take him a few.  Yampa River is low we hardly had any rain.  Miss you wish you were here.

Peewee, we went to go see our Athena at her ballet recital.  She looked so pretty up there in her pink dress on her tippy toes.  She had a big smile on her face.  She was happy and I know you saw her.  Miss You.

Hi, Dad I miss you so much, I think of you all the time.  I miss you as much as the day you left, time has not healed.  I keep thinking I am going to walk in and see you and ask "How you feeling today Dad, what did you and Mom do?".  I can see your little smile and laugh with the shake of your head when the kids do or say something so ridiculous that, that is all anyone can do. hey bro . Bronco season is coming. I hope Elway lets his people do their job and not butt in. Yeah Elway was a great quarter back but he sucks at making draft picks. hope all goes well for the next Broncos season and that Elway learns his place in the organization and that's signing  peoples checks. I miss you bro hope we do better this year.

We went to the Pow Wow and saw all your relatives.  Saw the Grass, Tiny Tot and Fancy Dancers.  Only had to wait 20 minutes for the fry bread.  The booth we always buy our souvenirs at was not there this year, neither was the guy you buy your t-shirts from.  I saw only two end of the trail this year.  I saw an indian lady I actually had to look down at her.  We will go back next year, maybe our booths will be there.  You uncle and aunt said to say how and see you next year.   

Your grandson choose spring football this year, this may be the fire we have been waiting for.  The twinkle toe girls are still in ballet dancing their little hearts out.  Autumn did The Wizard of Oz, she was a poppy.  Athena is being Athena singing and dancing.  She made a picture for you "grandpa".  She said she misses you alot.  I Love you and miss you so much dad.  Want you to know you will always be in my thoughts and forever in my heart.  Love You

Went to your favorite vacation town, to see our first granddaughter get married.  The newlyweds finally did it.  She was a beautiful bride and they make a great couple.  We know you were there, Savannah needed a handkerchief and I just happen to have one of yours with me.  We know you were looking down on us.  I went through our regular routine on the strip and saw all our favorite sights and got souvenirs.  I  even went to all our usual casinos, and played all your favorite machines.  No luck, but I know you were there with me.  Miss you a whole lot and wish you were here.

It's official grandpa I'm married @ 11:17am i made sure I looked. I'm so happy, you'd be proud of who I chose. He takes care of me. Just like you did for grandma. I wish you two could've hanged out more. I love you grandpa! Don't worry im sticking by grandma side xx

Went back to the Stock Show, saw the donkeys, chickens and even saw two white mules.  The long horns said to say Hi.  The cows want to know how your doing.  Went to the Indian stand no end of the trail.  I did see on at the picture stand , but it was over 3000.  Went downstairs and saw the bunking broncos, the horses won and the cowboys lost.  Walked around went to all the stands and watched the cows being sold.  We will be there next year agin.

We went to the Stock Show walked around and saw everything like we did every year.  Saw the cows, pigs and horses, they said to say hi, and they miss you.  Sat for a while watching them sell the animals.  Saw the clydesdales even saw the cowboys team roping the calfs.  Did you see the lady with the lamps wasn't there.  Next week we will go see the rest of the animals.

Merry Christmas Peewee, we pulled off another year. All our family was together it was very nice, even the newlyweds were here.  As you can see the kids were very happy with everything we got them. Athena liked her boy doll, Santa always knows what to get his baby.  I Miss You

Delia and family I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your husband peewee I know this will be very hard to deal with but my prayers are with you and your family. I recently lost his cousin Googie in March of this year too, so now the cousin's are celebrating in heaven love and prayers to you and your family. Lollie Esquibel
