Robert Edward Hickman, 81 years old, born December 24th, 1930 in Stigler Oklahoma and passed away August 15, 2012 in Bennett, Colorado. He is survived by wife Joyce, his two daughters Susan and Robbin, their husbands Randy and Carl and his 3 grandchildren Cierra, Shane and Molly. He has one surviving sister Barbara Lackey that lives in Lindsey, Oklahoma.
Robert was the son of Reverend Barb and Zelma Hickman. He grew up on a ranch outside Stigler, Oklahoma with his three siblings; brothers Hercel and James and sister Barbara. He got his first horse when he was 10 years old naming the Horse Tenny for his tenth birthday. He graduated from Stigler High School in 1949 where he also played football. Bob joined the Army and served his country for 2 years. This was right before the Korean war and the time that he had served released him from the draft unlike so many of his high school friends.
He will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
Memorial service Monday, August 20th, 11:00am at Bear Valley Church of Christ, 2707 South Lamar Street, Denver CO 80227.
