Bob was born on November 27, 1928, in McCook Nebraska, to Charlotte and Marion Lytle. When he was 12, they moved to Denver where Bob graduated from East High. In 1947, he enlisted in the Army and served a tour in Europe. On his return, he remained in the Army Reserve. During this time, he met, fell in love with and married Betty on July 1, 1950. Just a few months after being married, he was called to active duty and served a combat tour in Korea. After his discharge, he went to work for Public Service Company of Colorado as a meter reader, eventually moving into the Customer Service area where he remained until he retired in 1986.
Bob tremendously enjoyed playing golf and cards. When their kids were mostly grown, he loved to travel with Betty to many destinations all over the world. After retiring, he and Betty took much pleasure in spending winters in Arizona. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Betty Lytle; four loving children, Donna Hover (Noel), Kathy Eberle, Kelly Lytle (Cathy), and Jane Frank (Gary); and five granddaughters who he adored, Carly Lytle, Liz Frank, Ellen Frank, Janessa Eberle, and Kelsey Lytle.
He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Colorado Neurological Institute, 701 E. Hampden Ave. # 330, Englewood, CO 80113-2759.
