Robin Lea Ferrel

Robin was born on October 26th, 1959 in Denver, CO. The daughter of Robert Ferrel and Eleanor Stapleton (Jaeke). Robin grew up and also resided in Lakewood, CO her entire life. She graduated from Lakewood High School in 1978 and soon after, started her career in Banking before moving into positions as Deputy Clerk and Assistant Jury Commissioner for the Denver District Courts in the early 80’s. From there, she went on to work for the Denver District Attorney’s Office as a Legal Assistant and then a Paralegal. She spent the final years of her working career with the Jefferson County Courts in the roles of Division Clerk and Deputy Clerk. She loved working in the legal field and was well recognized by many including both Denver and Jefferson County District Attorneys for her dedication and quality of work.

Robin is best described as being kind, charismatic, humorous, and selfless. She had a huge heart and had a passion for taking care of others. Whether it was for neighbors, friends or family – she always looked to help and care for those who needed it. She enjoyed many hobbies – many of which related to arts & crafts. One of her favorite things to do was creating decorative items that she could gift to others. Some may even say she was one of Hobby Lobby’s best patrons.

Beyond taking care of others, her greatest joy in life was raising and spending time with her children and being the best Nana to her grandchildren.

Robin is preceded in death by her parents Robert Ferrel and Eleanor Jaeke, and her Brother, William Ferrel.

She is survived by her Children Larissa Ferrel-Nakayama (AJ) and Erik Ferrel (Michelle), Brother Stephen Ferrel (Lori), Brother Donald Ferrel (Alice), Sister Linda Fassler (Tim), Grandchildren Axton Ferrel & Ainsley Ferrel along with 6 nieces and nephews and many cousins and friends.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the many encouraging visits and outpouring of prayers and support in her final days, and to The Denver Hospice Inpatient Care Center team for their compassion and support.

A Celebration of Life and Reception will be held on Saturday, 10/26 (at 9AM MT) at Heritage Lakewood Belmar (Orchard Room inside Visitor Plaza) – 801 S Yarrow St.
