Roy Jay White, 84, died Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the Exempla Luthern Hospice. Roy was born August 10, 1931 in Joplin, Missouri and later moved to Colorado with his family. It was here that he established a family and led a fulfilling life. He was a good-natured man with immense compassion and love for others, as well as an infinite amount of wisdom. He not only provided a strong foundation for many, but also established a warm and loving space, both physically and emotionally, for others to seek refuge. Roy meant the world to many and will live on through the values he instilled in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The many wonderful stories and jokes he shared will also live on as they are passed from one generation to the next. Our angel, Roy, was called to heaven to be with the love of his life, Donna White; his son David Lee White; brother, Jack White; and sisters Edna Austin and Marie Travers. His parents, Henry and Edna White, are welcoming him home with open arms as he continues to watch over and protect his loved ones. Roy's passing has left a hole in many people's hearts and, in our grief, we mourn his absence. However, we are able to live in thankfulness for all that he was, the life he lived, and the legacy he left behind. Roy is survived his sons, Wayne White, David Anthony and Randy Anthony; his daughters, Linda Peltz, Sharon Antonio and Tammy Schairer; 20 grand children and 16 great-grandchildren.
Please join his family as we commemorate his life. Services will be held at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary and Cemetery on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 3:00 PM. There will be a reception to follow at 2556 Depew St. Edgewater, CO 80550. Dinner and drinks will be provided.
