Born in Germany, Ruth spent almost 60 years in her adopted homeland as an American citizen. She died peacefully Wednesday, April 25th, with her husband, Dave; two daughters, Karen and Sherry, and their husbands, Bob and Glenn; at her bedside. After bravely fighting MDS (myelodysplastic syndrome) for almost 15 months, she passed away from complications. Dave and Ruth traveled extensively - certainly all of Europe, but also the Far East before it was popular, Russia, the Middle East and far flung places like Machu Picchu and the Galapagos. They cruised the Amazon and the Nile. They rode elephants and hiked the rain forest. In fact, you probably couldn’t name a place they haven’t been. Ruth adored her grandchildren, Spencer, Mariah and Walter. Anyone who met Ruth would tell you one thing - she was the most cheerful and happy person. Everyone became her friend. She was beautiful and stylish. Ruth will be missed by all who knew her. In keeping with her sunny out look please wear bright colors and join the family in a celebration of her life this Saturday, April 28th, 10 AM at Olinger Crown Hill Pavilion of Reflections, 7777 W. 29th Ave. (Wadsworth/29th), Wheat Ridge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 720 S. Colorado Blvd. Denver, CO 80246.
