Heaven gained a good one! Ssndy's smile and laugh will forever live in my heart. There are so many memories.  No one wrote a letter like she, with beautiful penmanship and fantastic wit. Although she lived with much pain, she didn't let it overwhelm her. She will continue to be greatly missed this side of Heaven but will live on through those who knew and love her.

We would be remiss in our remembrance of Sandy if we didn’t mention books. Sandy loved reading, loved sharing and recommending books, talking about books, searching for the next good book, lending and borrowing books, and reading books aloud to a friend in need of companionship. She traveled far and wide because of her love for books.

Sandy was a dear friend to many and a bright spot in any group she joined. Both our Red Hat and Book Club groups were filled with her fun loving spirit and positive nature. She will be greatly missed.

It's hard to believe I just can't pick up the phone and call you any more.  I know you have lived your life the last couple of years in so much pain and am wondering if you just got tired of it.  Despite that and other challenges you have faced in your life, your outlook was always positive.  I have admired you for your tenacity, your faith, your belief in the truth always doing the right thing, your loyalty, always being there for me, and even your stubbornness!  

I remembered one Saturday when we had nothing much going on, the kids were younger, and we were bored - I found a bottle of unopened blackberry brandy in my house, came over to yours.  We drank it with relish while playing cards.  Disappointed we didn't have more when we finished, but you found a bottle of wine, so we killed that off too.   Had you ever been sicker than that in your life?  Me neither.

I love you and have cherished having you as my friend for over 55 years.  I am blessed at having so so many memories of you and am selfishly having difficulty of knowing that I can't physically reach out to you any more.

God needed you more.  He saw your pain and he knew where your faith and heart were.  You will thankfully be at peace now without that pain and will always be loved by me.

Sean, Shannon, Garrett, Owen and Addison,  we are so very sorry for your loss. May you all find comfort in Gods promise for a new tomorrow.  Sandy always did and always will have a special place in our hearts. I  have so many good memories of your mom and they all bring a smile to my face,  your mom liked to smile and laugh.  Love you all lots.  Aunt Tammy and Uncle Kevin ❤️
