Steve was a loving & beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.
Steve served his country proudly in Vietnam. When he returned, he married his sweetheart, Peggy Civis, & started a family- First his son Zach, then Josh(Trisha) and finally his daughter Sarah(Mikee). He had 6 grandkids, Christopher, Sara, Nathanial, Jordan(Nathalie), Gavin and Creighton and 3 great grand kids, Sammy, Nicola, and Jeremy, plus a dog named Beau.
Steve loved the outdoors. Whether camping, snow-birding, or just sitting outside with the dog and a cigar. He also loved college football SKO BUFFS!!
Taking advantage of the skills he learned from the Redhorse Airman Civil Engineering team during the war, Steve became a Pipefitter and joined local 208, where he was a proud member for 53 years.
Steve will be dearly missed by his family and friends & his memory & influence will live on.
The memorial service is at Fort Logan National Cemetery December 23 2025 at 12:30 PM followed by Toasting his Life reception at his favorite restaurant Las Palmas 1 located 16908 S. Golden Road in Golden from 2-5pm.
