May 25, 1948 – January 18, 2026
Susamma Abraham, a devoted wife, mother, sister, and nurse, passed away at the age of 77 in Lakewood, Colorado. She will always be remembered by her family as a woman of faith, a beacon of positivity, a helping hand, and a role model for the younger generations.
Born on May 25, 1948, in Kerala, India, to M.M. and Aleyamma Abraham, Susamma grew up with a heart for service. She pursued her calling by attending nursing school in Pondicherry, India, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.).
On August 26, 1974, she married Padappakal Abraham in Kerala, India. In 1975, she embarked on a new chapter, immigrating to Denver, Colorado. Susamma dedicated her career to caring for others, working as a Registered Nurse at Denver General Hospital, St. Luke’s Hospital, and Lutheran Medical Center until her retirement in 1992. Since then, she has been a long-time resident of Lakewood, where she focused her life around her family and her loved ones.
Susamma’s life was defined by her devotion to the Lord. She spent her days reading the Bible and pursuing her spiritual journey. When she wasn’t caring for her family or managing the family business, she cherished time with her close friends.
She is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Padappakal Abraham; her son, Robie Abraham; her siblings, Mathew Abraham and Jessy Mathew; and her beloved nieces and nephew, Ann Potter, Shiny Foster, and Joel Mathew.
The family wishes to extend a very heartfelt thank you to the staff at Kidney Care of Bear Creek. Your professional care and genuine compassion gave Susamma many more precious years of life with her family. We are eternally grateful.
Susamma was a caring, compassionate, and Godly woman who will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her entire family. ❤️
