Terry passed into eternity peacefully at his home in Lakewood, Colorado on September 14, 2025 at the age of 89. He was in the loving care of his wife and family who supported him as he courageously battled Alzheimer’s for the last several years.
Terry was born in Ennis, Texas on November 21, 1935 and grew up in Houston, Texas. He was on the varsity football team at Jefferson Davis High School, Class of 1953, and graduated from The University of Houston with a degree in Professional Engineering in 1957. He married Betty on February 3, 1962. He had visited Colorado as boy and fell in love with the beauty and adventure of the Rockies. The happy couple moved to Lakewood, Colorado in 1962 where Terry worked as a professional engineer and consultant for more than 60 years. He loved singing and acting in local plays and musicals, playing the guitar and umpiring softball. He happily pursued his passion for hunting, fishing and camping with his family and friends until the very end. The campfire was always his happy place!
Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Betty; his brother, David; his children Bryan, Wayne, Brenda and Carol; his grandchildren Steven, Christine and Ashley; step-grandchildren Jeremiah and Missy; and great-grandchildren Wyatt, Jackson, Lincoln, Camden, Barrett, Hailey, Taylor, Skyler, Paisley, Colton, Remington, Peyton and Auston. He will be greatly missed by them all.
