AVIS DE DÉCÈS
Thelma J Lawler
9 août 1934 – 1 mai 2020
Thelma Lawler, originally of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, died on May 1, 2020 at the age of 85. She lived in Wheat Ridge for more than 60 years where she raised her children, enjoyed entertaining, held countless birthday parties, shared her sense of humor, and loved the many animals that were part of the family. She also loved to go camping and taking road trips with her children in her bright green Volkswagen Bug. In her younger years she was heavily involved in speech and debate, summer stock, and helped put her first husband through law school, which she would say earned her a PhT (Putting Husband Through) degree. In her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with family and traveling extensively.
She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and even great-great-grandmother. She was an educator for many years and took pride in the number of lives she impacted through her decades of teaching and working as a reading specialist. She also enjoyed volunteering and getting involved with church activities. She took care of so many people they are too numerous to mention, always putting others before herself. She loved deeply and was loved and admired by just about everyone who knew her.
She outlived two husbands, Larry Lawler and William Auld, and is survived by her three children, Beverly June Dolan, Stephen Scot Lawler, and Janette Kay Lawler and their many descendents. She is greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at Crown Hill cemetery on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 5:30 PM.
