

Tyler Joseph Stephens, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully on December 19,2025, leaving a legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to his family. The cornerstone of his family, Ty was known for his steady presence and the quiet pride he took in the achievements of his children and grandchildren. A skilled woodworker and dedicated teacher, he spent his life building a home filled with warmth alongside his beloved wife, Kathy, who remains a testament to their enduring partnership.
FAMILY LEGACY
Tyler's memory will be carried forward by his two sons and their families:
Tyler Jeffrey Stephens and his wife Tana, of Denver, Colorado. Ty took immense joy in his granddaughters, Mishon and Fiona. Papa was always eager to hear about their latest accomplishments and adventures.
Brian Stephens and his wife Laura Koval of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Ty was a proud grandfather to Braden and Braylen Stephens, who will miss grandpa's wisdom and stories.
Tyler was preceded in death by his parents Ross and Ellinor Stephens, his sister Patti, grandparents and many aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his brother Tim and wife Janet, their daughter Jodi
Purcell, husband John, great niece Violet, and great nephews Callan and Palmer. Also surviving are his Aunt Carroll, many cousins and friends who continued to be blessings in his life.
A Life Well-Lived
Tyler was a man of character who delighted in family and friends and the simple joys of life. His granddaughters often said that he made friends wherever he went. Whether he was offering advice to his sons or cheering on his grandchildren's endeavors, his impact was profound. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you spend a quiet moment reflecting on a favorite memory of Ty and sharing if you choose at the celebration of his life.
A visitation will be held on January 3, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary, located at 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. The recitation of the Rosary will follow at 11:30 am at the same location. Ty will be laid to rest at 12:00 pm at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery.A reception will follow in Heritage Hall venue.
