Vern passed away November 1, 2013. He is preceded in death by his wife of 70 years Shirley Ferguson-Sachs. They both attended Denver West High School and were partners in business, Sachs Quality Furniture on West Colfax Ave for 42
years.
Both were great golf enthusiasts, following and playing their entire life. Vern had attained many golf records, and played in the Bob Hope Golf Tournaments for 37 continual years. He was a World War II veteran. Their marriage and life was of complete togetherness, with a story book ending. As they both sailed off into the sunset, they "lived happily ever after." Private family services were held.
