Victor Albert Olson

Victor Albert Olson was born in Denver on May 28th, 1926, the only child of Albert and Louise Baeton Olson. Albert had come to Denver as a young man from Sweden and was a painter in Denver. Louise had been raised in Kansas.

Their small family lived near Sloan’s Lake and Vic attended Denver East High School. He enlisted the Army Air Corp at 17. After boot camp, he was sent for special training @ MIT where he excelled at Radar and Electronics Development.

Victor met the love of his life, Sharon Todd, at a local swimming pool; then again at a horseback riding outing. When some other suitor asked to take Sharon home, he immediately said, “I’m taking her home.” They married when he was 21 & she was 18, October 19th, 1947. They recently celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary.

They had 6 children in 8 years.

After several years as a salesman for others, Vic started his own HVAC business and with Sharon’s help, built it into a successful business and a life for the whole family.

Vic and Sharon have lived in Aurora, Golden, Green Mountain, Lyons, Denver and Wheat Ridge. They have traveled the globe and loved RV-ing.

Victor is survived by his wife Sharon Todd Olson;

* 6 children: Cherie Kathleen Ohlsson, Steven Victor Olson, David Byron Olson, Gregory Alan Olson, James Michael Olson and Paul Albert Olson;

* 9 grandchildren: Charity Lee Harvatt, Kathy Talea Olson, Daniel Paul Olson, Mathew James Olson, Christopher Todd Olson, Adam John Olson, Jarred Mitchell Olson, Jameson Lee Olson, Samantha Rae Olson;

* 9 Great Grandchildren: Addison Harvatt, Alec Harvatt, Aiden Harvatt, Ava Harvatt, Brielle Olson, Samuel Olson, Olivia Cates, Lucas Olson and Emory Olson.

Vic is preceded into glory by grandson Tyler Alan Olson, & granddaughter Tara Olson Cates.
