

William Fay Myers used the name Fay rather than William. He was born to David and Minnie Evelyn Myers at Peetz, Colorado the youngest of six children. His dad, David, was killed in a farm accident when Fay was five years old. His mother later married Ed Chase and they moved to Bertrand, Nebraska where Fay met Lucia Maker in school. She was the eldest of three children and her dad was the depot agent at Bertrand for forty-eight years. They were married at Bertrand on January 3, 1932. From the marriage four daughters were born, Shirley, Barbara, Anita and Wanda.
Lucia passed away March 30, 1984 and Fay married Blanche Preston May 5, 1985 and moved to Roggen, Colorado where they were living when he passed away.
Fay was a truck driver most of his life. He loved the Lord and told other truckers clear across the U.S. about Him. He received a 1,000,000 Miles Without An Accident Award before his trucking days were over in 1970.
He served the Lord as a Sunday School Supervisor, Board Member and Chairman, as the manager of Woodbine Ranch, a Christian Camp, and everywhere he could. He was still teaching Sunday School at age 81 at Roggen, Colorado Community Church shortly before he died.
