Our Mother is preceded in death by her parents; Glen W Jerome and Lola Mae Barnett, one brother; Glenn Jerome, sister Juanita Richner and grandson Jeffrey Fuller. She is survived by one brother; Kenneth Allen Jerome, her children Sherry Fuller (Estel), Susan Anderson (Rick), Michael Agnew (Elaine) and Diane Angle (Charles). She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
She was born in Central City, Nebr. and at age 4 moved to Columbus, Nebr. where she attended grade school. The family moved to Colorado when she was 11 years old where her father went to work for the Federal Center. They made their home in Daniel’s Garden and lived in a large tent with a big cook store during the summer until their basement home was finished near 13th Ave. and Simms Street. She finished grade school at Daniel’s Elementary. By the time she was 14 her parents had purchase the grocery store on Colfax and Simms and my grandfather let her quit school to help manage the store with her mother.
She married Charles W Agnew in September 1947 and to this union came four children; Sherry Lynn, Susan Marie, Michael Wray and Diane Yvonne. After being a stay at home mom she went to work for Sears at Westland in 1963 and continued working at Sears through 1989. Working in the Cosmetic, Women’s Clothing and Shoe Department.
Our parents divorced in 1966. Mom married Robert Coy where they lived in Edgewater until his death. In 1989 she married Charles Tatham making their home in Lakewood.
Mom enjoyed cooking and was an excellent cook. She loved her home and the neighbors that were around her. Her last years she looked forward to the luncheon in the neighborhood and sitting on her front porch visiting with those that stopped by. We were blessed to have her with us for 92 years. She brought love to those around her and had a beautiful smile for everyone. She was a loving, giving Mother, Grandmother and Friend; who will be missed deeply.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Olinger Crown Hill with an interment to follow. Please wear her favorite color, red, to celebrate her life.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.CrownHillFuneral.com for the Tatham family.
