Esther Thomas age 73 of Waterford, passed away Sunday May 30, 2010. Loving mother of Paul Thomas, Catherine Thomas, Karen (Robert) Smith and Lori (Brian) Brown, proud grandmother of ten and great grandmother of 2, sister of Larry (Joann) Pioszak, Pat(John) Bem and Jim (Rosann) Pioszak, aunt to several nieces and nephews. Esther retired from the Charter One Bank and was also the office manager at Elton Black for many years. She was a member of the Waterford Genealogy Society and loved reading and crocheting. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday June 3, 2010 at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Rd., White Lake, MI. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 4, 2010 at St. Perpetua Church, 134 Airport Rd, Waterford, MI. Mrs. Thomas will lie in state at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Howell.
