Greg was born in Jamestown, New York to parents Don and Norma Hidinger. A Union Carpenter by day, and a beloved legend affectionately known as "Papa" by night. He loved to golf, tend to his flowers, spend winters in Florida, and travel west to visit his kids. Greg was always the life of the party and made everyone laugh, including strangers. The thing he loved the most in the world was his family.
Greg is survived by his wife/partner Lorrie, his son Matthew, daughter Kaylyn (Rodney), their mother Kathleen, step-children Lindsay (Andrew), Shaun (Nikki), and grand-children Molly, Owen, Ben, Norah, Addy, and Jaxson. Papa was very loved by his Family and will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 from 3:00pm until 10:00pm at the Gathering of the Lakes, 900 Round Lake Road in White Lake. In honor of Greg's free spirit and fun loving personality, the family has requested guests wear comfortable and casual "Jimmy Buffett" style attire.
