Gregory Joseph Lankford

Gregory Joseph Lankford, age 22, of White Lake; passed away suddenly on May 22, 2010. Gregory was a 2006 graduate from Walled Lake High School and was attending Oakland Community College. Gregory had many passions and loves; this included spending time with his family and friends; riding his brand new Harley Motorcycle that he purchased last week. He also was an avid hunter and loved the Arts. Gregory was employed at Lankford Agency as an insurance agent. Beloved son of Larry H. Lankford, Sr. and Tina Barbee; dear brother of Larry H. Lankford, Jr., David R. (Paula) Lankford, Alex Berezansky, Joseph Berezansky; grandson of Joseph and Christine Barbee, both the late Hugh and Wanda Lankford ; along with many loving relatives and dear friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Orchard Lake Community Church Presbyterian, 5171 Commerce road, Orchard Lake. The visitation will be Tuesday between the hours of 2 until 8 p.m., as well as a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road, White Lake. Gregory will be taken to the church on Wednesday morning and lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. A luncheon will take place after the service at 4 p.m. at the VFW post #4156, 321 Union Lake Road, White Lake, MI. Interment will take place at Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions strongly suggested to Habitat for Humanity; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
