Jeffrey James Henry

Jeffrey J. Henry, 71, of White Lake, passed away on September 16, 2016. He was born on November 26, 1944 in Pontiac, Michigan to Joe and Ila Henry. He is the brother of Larry, Paul, and Dottie of Walled Lake. Mr. Henry graduated from Walled Lake High School in 1963. He married Cathy Leahy on April 15, 1966. Jeffrey served in the Vietnam War from 1966 thru 1967 where he was awarded the Bronze Service Star, Purple Heart, Silver Star, and the Distinguished Service Cross for Valor and Heroism in battle. He was Employed by Grand Trunk Rail Road on 2-15-1965 and retired as an Engineer from Canadian National Rail Road on 11-27-2004.

He is survived by his Bride Cathy, Sons Jeffery and Shane, Daughter in laws Kathie and Kathleen, Grandchildren Patrick, Sean, Madailin, Maggie and Luke, and his brother Paul and sister Dottie.

A memorial service along with military honors will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, September 23, 2016 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road in Holly, Michigan. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm at the Deer Lake Banquet Center, 6167 White Lake Road in Clarkston, Michigan.
