

He was born on November 27, 1938 to John Benjamin and Gladys Delphia in Modesto, California. Ben was a talented artist. He enjoyed drawing pictures of cars and cartoons, usually on the back of a napkin. He also enjoyed scuba diving and underwater photography. He was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Muskegon, and before that, St. Patrick Catholic Church in White Lake when he lived in the area. Ben was retired from Chrysler as an Automotive Stylist.
On January 2, 1960 he married the former Janet Schumacher and they spent 64 wonderful years together. She survives him along with his children John B. (Nanci) Delphia III. Ted (Mitsuyo) Delphia, Diane (Bruce) Redmon, David (Maria) Delphia; proud grandpa of Helen, Mikey, Sarah, Emily, Melanie, and Benjamin. He was preceded in death by his son Michael and his brother Claude.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM (In state at 10:00 am) at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9086 Hutchins Road, White Lake, Michigan 48386 on Monday, September 23, 2024. Rite of Christian Burial will occur Monday, September 23, 2024 at All Saints Cemetery, 4401 Nelsey Road, Waterford, Michigan 48329. Memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society.
