Joseph Aaron Chircop

Our dear father, Joseph Aaron Chircop, of White Lake, Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 11th, 2022, at the age of 95. He was born April 17th, 1927, and raised in Pontiac, Michigan along with 4 siblings. He was a graduate of Pontiac Central High School. Joe had recently been living at West Lake Health Campus in Commerce Township. Prior to that he resided on Cedar Island Lake for 42 years.

Joe was married to his bride of 69 years, Jacqueline, who preceded him in death by 8 months.

Together they lovingly raised three sons. They leave behind Marc, (Karen) of Grand Rapids; Craig, (Sharon) of Arizona; Michael, (Bonnie) of Waterford and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Joe and Jackie adored one another. They fully enjoyed their many years of marriage and life together while raising their boys. They kept a boat on Cass Lake and belonged to the Water Ski Club. The men would ski 4 to 5 abreast with the ladies on their shoulders. For several years they would travel to Cypress Gardens in Florida to perform, to the amazement of anyone watching.

Joe and Jackie were both avid members of Vic Tanny Health Club, since the 1960s. They practiced healthy eating and exercised regularly, long before it was popular.

Joe was one of the pioneers in vehicle leasing in Oakland County and surrounding areas in the 1970’s. Not many consumers had considered vehicle leasing at that time. An idea that is now common when considering acquiring a vehicle today.

Joe was a long-time member of the Elks Club on Scott Lake Road. He enjoyed having the family together for dinner at the club. It always made him smile. "And no cleanup!" he would say.

What everyone should know about Joe Chircop is that he was a wonderful man. A completely devoted husband, a kind and loving father, and a generous and supportive friend.

He will be missed terribly and will always have a place in our hearts.

Mr. Chircop will be reunited with his wife, Jacqueline at 11:00am on Monday, July 18, 2022 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan.
