My heart is heavy for the loss of this warm and loving human.  I hold a very special place in the fibers of my being for Rosie - When I was young, things got a little rough in my household being raised by a single mom.  I Loved visiting the Ratliff home....it was a special place where I was treated like family.  There was always a yummy treat fresh out of the oven to sample while we talked..... Rose always knew what I needed...a hug, a smile, she always took my hand and wiped my tears when they fell...she offered reassurance that everything would work out as it should.  And there were times that Rosie stood up for me by making that call to my mom to say "Hey! aren't you being a little hard on her?"  Rosie was bold, she never wavered - she always told me the door was open and that I could come anytime and stay as long as I needed.  Perhaps she and her family never realized what an important part they played in my life while I was growing up.  Rosie...I loved you so very much.  Until we meet again my friend......

As cousins we have loved Rosie and Odell for more than70 years.  Our children have grown up together with loving friendships.  It is our hope to meet Odell and Rosie for eternity.  We send our love to all the Ratliff family.

As you grief the loss of your mother, I will hold you and your family in my prayers. You have had so much heart ache over the last week, praying for strength and that you find comfort in your faith, family and friends.

Whenever the family came  back to St. Cloud Mn   she would love to play the piano and sing.  Rosie was my Aunt.  Before my dad had die  she would sing k k katie and then my dad would join in.  I have so many memories  of Aunt Rosie that it would be hard to pick out what would be my favorite.   Rosie is now up in heaven having a ball and singing away.  Bringing a smile to everyone.

The world has been left a better place for having Rosie in our lives. She was the neighborhood Mom,  I always say I was raised at that house too. She instilled good values into all that crossed her doorstep. She was always cooking or baking something up in the kitchen, busy as a bee but found the time to truly ask about you. She would keep us out of trouble by giving us a simple chore to do and we never even realized it. I truly do try to "live by Rosie`s example" of always caring and being kind to one another. We all are better people for knowing her. Love to my dear Ratliff famoly. 

Rose was the mother to all whom walked in her house.  Always making food or baking cookies. Snicker Doodles. Always giving advice. I enjoyed being around her and her family. She will be forever in my heart. Love to the family.


Rosie was the June Cleaver of all, great cook, she made the best chocolate drop cookies, when we went over to pick up Tom to walk to the school bus, if I walked in with out a hat or mittens, she would chew me out then send me home to  fetch them. My mom could always count on her in emergencies, my mom would call her and 5 minutes later Rosie would be sitting in driveway, engine running to take her where she wanted to go. Mom and her were like sister's, and I know mom loved her with all her heart, right now dad, mom, Odell, & Rosie would be hanging together, sharing mom's home made grape wine..We all love you Rose, please say hi To Jesus for me..
