

Sharon May Pachal, age 79, of Commerce Township, Michigan, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026. She was born on May 9, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan, and lived a life marked by love, faith, gentleness, and devotion to the people and places she held dear.
Sharon was the beloved wife of the late Robert Pachal, who preceded her in death in 2001. She was a devoted mother to Brenda Kahsin and Chris Pachal and a proud grandmother to Nichole Kahsin, Ella Pachal, and Emma Pachal. She was also the loving sister of Keith Cusac and his wife Linda, and Paul Cusac and his wife Donna. In addition to her immediate family, Sharon was blessed with many dear friends and extended family members who will cherish her memory always. Also preceded in death by her siblings, Donald Cusac and Carol Stockhouse.
Among the many meaningful relationships in her life, Sharon held especially close the friendship of Debbie Redinger, her backyard neighbor growing up and a treasured friend for 49 years. She also shared 21 wonderful years of friendship with Debbie McMaster, whom she met at Sam’s Club. Together they enjoyed taking trips to crafting shows. Her faithful cat, Kiki, was also a beloved companion in her life.
Sharon worked at Sam’s Club as a greeter, where her warm smile and kind presence made a lasting impression on customers and coworkers alike. She had a gentle way about her that made others feel welcome, and she carried that same kindness into every part of her life. She was a faithful member of Lakes Church in Waterford Township, where her faith was an important part of who she was and how she lived.
She enjoyed the simple pleasures that brought joy and comfort to her days. Sharon loved reading, especially romance novels, and she could often be found watching The Game Show Network and Family Feud. Christmas was one of her favorite times of year, and she delighted in decorating with snowmen and celebrating the season with warmth and cheer. Blue was her favorite color, and she especially loved giraffes, a favorite animal that reflected her appreciation for God’s unique creation.
Sharon will be remembered as a loving, faith-filled, and gentle woman whose presence brought comfort and happiness to those around her. Her life was a beautiful reflection of steadfast love, quiet strength, and devotion to family and friends. The memories she created, the kindness she shared, and the faith she carried will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She leaves behind a legacy of love that will not be forgotten, along with other dear family members and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts. Though her earthly journey has ended, the impact of her life remains, and her memory will be treasured with gratitude and affection by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 3:00 PM Until 8:00 PM at the Elton Black & Son Funeral home located at 1233 Union Lake Road, Union Lake, Michigan 48386.
Sharon's funeral service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026 11:00 AM at the funeral Home. Additional visitation will take place from 10:00 AM on Friday.
Interment Commerce Cemetery, Commerce Township, Michigan.
Memorial contribution's in Sharon's memory may be made to The Lakes Church, Waterford Chapel.
