Alan loved the outdoors, especially hunting & fishing. Many days would be filled at the family farm with his brothers, his children & eventually his grandchildren. These days would start early with catching fish & would end by a campfire with S’mores & music.
Alan was also a very talented musician. Guitar, piano, and drums are some of the many instruments he played and he often wrote songs and sang to his family. He taught his own children & grandchildren to play piano, many of whom would sit on books to reach the piano keys.
Alan loved all animals & would often bring home a stray or two he found on the road. The house was always filled with dogs, cats, bunnies, lizards & frogs.
Alan was born on September 9th, 1950, in Wichita, Kansas, to Jim & Jean Hendricks.
Preceding him in death is his loving wife Jackie, his parents and his grandson James Francis Schnoor.
Alan is survived by wife Susan Sun, children & grandchildren Jennifer(Donnie, Jordan, Jake, Josh, Jayma, Taylor, Lauren, Erin, Jenna), Jill(Megan, Jayden, Zach), Christian(Angie, Ethan, Lilly, Claire, Grant), Joni(Ava), Matthew(Marie); step-daughter Alexa Sun; three brothers Bruce, Mark & John.
