Benito V. Ibarra

Benito Ibarra Villagrana passed away peacefully in Wichita, KS on December 10, 2020 at the age of 87. He was born March 21, 1933 in Rancho El Terrero, Valparaiso, Zacatecas, Mexico to parents Eliseo Ibarra and Eufracia Villagrana.

Benito is survived by his wife, Margarita; children, Rosa Velia (Arnulfo) Martinez, Pedro Antonio (Celia) Ibarra, Alberto (Esperanza) Ibarra, Irma (Gabriel) Rodriguez, Luis Miguel (Maite) Ibarra, Teresa (Tele Ávila) Ibarra, Carmen Ibarra, Benito Ibarra Jr., and David (Mary) Ibarra; Brother Roberto Ibarra; 23 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Margarita.

Benito was caring, determined, and sociable. He was a natural born leader having to raise his younger brother at a young age and later his big family on the farm in La Masita, Zacatecas, Mexico. Benito was a devout Catholic. He spent most of his life farming in La Masita where he was also a local leader. He moved to Wichita, KS in 2000 to be closer to all his family. Benito loved to go on walks, enjoyed watching boxing and soccer games, and talking to family, friends, and strangers alike. He will be forever loved, missed, and memories of him will be cherished in our hearts.

Benito era cariñoso, decidido y sociable. Él era un líder nato que crió a su hermano menor a una temprana edad y luego a una familia grande en el rancho La Masita, Zacatecas, Mexico. Benito era un hombre de Dios. Pasó la mayor parte de su vida trabajando en el rancho en La Masita, donde también fue un líder local. Se mudó a Wichita, KS en 2000 para estar más cerca de su familia.
