Pennington, Dan E. 81, born in Stonega, VA, retired dispatcher for Gas Service Co., passed away January 12, 2013. Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Wednesday (1-16) at Hillside Funeral Home West; Service 11 a.m. Thursday (1-17), Gospel Assembly Church, 4230 N Oliver, Wichita 67220. Dan was preceded in death by his sisters, Cora Ann Dorton, Catherine Newton, Colleen Wallace and his wife, of 40 years, Florence Marie Pennington. He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Ann (Jeff) Hoetmer of Wichita; grandchildren, Isaac and Hannah. Memorial may be given to the church’s Benevolent Fund.
