Dietrick Helmke

Dietrick Helmke, 98, retired farmer and hydraulic machinist passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018. Dietrick was a WWII veteran. He was a long time member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Wichita. Preceded by his son Rodney, 6 sisters and 2 brothers. Survived by his loving wife of 71 years Elenor, daughters LaVeda (Terry) Carter, Marlene (Charlie) Fortenberry and Patty (Wes) Brooks, daughter-in-law Earlene Carothers, grandchildren Stacey, Lisa, Ryan, Ashlee, Rachel and 7 great grandchildren. Visitation with family present Mon. March 19th, 6pm-8pm at Hillside Funeral Home West. Viewing 10am-10:30am, Funeral Service 10:30am on Tues. March 20th both at St. John Lutheran Church in Nashville, KS with burial to follow at the Nashville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Andrews Lutheran Church, Wichita or St. John Lutheran Church, Nashville.
