Donald Ray Bailey

Bailey, Donald Ray, age 51, was born April 22, 1964 in Wichita, Kansas and was received into heaven on August 8, 2015. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Jaime A. Bailey; father Marvin A. Bailey, Sr.; paternal grandparents Norman C. and Irma Pearl Bailey; maternal grandparents Homer J. and Mary E. Landreth. Donald is survived by his mother Barbara J. Bailey; his children Krista Flyingout, Ashley (Tommy) McCabe, Michael Beckner, Sarah Buche-Wood, and Abby Bailey; his brothers Marvin (Tomi) Bailey, Jr., Ronald (Melena) Bailey, Lance (Chantel) Bailey, and Howard Winfield; his sisters Valena (Steve) Behrendt, Carla (Dave) Malec, Rhonda (Larry) Reeves, Brenda (Dan) Bailey; his nine grandchildren and two beloved dogs: Blackie and Tabby. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. From a young age, Donald was a hard worker. He worked for Landon Tool and was a supervisor at Harper Truck, Inc. His illness eventually took him away from his budding career, in his early 20’s. He enjoyed riding motorcycles (Harley’s were his favorite), working on cars, tinkering with anything he could get his hands on, and spending time with his beloved family. Donald will be remembered for his caring nature and amazing generosity. He never turned down someone in need. Viewing and visitation 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 17, 2015 at Hillside Funeral Home West, 2929 W. 13th Street. Funeral 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 18, at Tyler Road Baptist Church, 571 S. Tyler Rd, Wichita, after which he will be relocated to his final resting place at Kechi Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Donald R.
