Dorothy Beatrice Barger, 89, former manager of Whole Foods, passed away on November 4, 2017. She was born on February 17, 1928 in Wichita, Kansas to Silas James and Hattie Ellen (Reed) Gayer. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Forest and a sister, Gladys Booker. Survived by her son: Forest W. (Shirley) Barger of Rose Hill; daughter: Nada (Andrew) Todd of Mustang, OK; brother: James (Sue) Gayer of Coal Valley, IL.; sister: Thelma Crum of Houston, MO.; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 8; Service: 1:30 p.m. Thursday, November 9, both at Hillside Funeral Home West. Burial to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Memorials: Douglas Avenue Assembly of God Church.
