Ralph E. Nutter, Sr., 100, retired Machinist for Cessna went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 18, 2018. Ralph enjoyed fishing, pheasant and quail hunting and spending time with his family. As a child he moved with his family in several covered wagons from Protection, Kansas to Douglas, Kansas with his older siblings riding horseback and driving the livestock. Ralph learned to swim in an engine house water tank. As a young man he worked as a roustabout in the oil fields near Ellinwood, Kansas. He met the love of his life, Iona, at church in Hoisington, Kansas during these years. As a Father and Grandfather he lived his life serving Christ and was a true prayer warrior. Ralph was preceded in death by parents David and Salome (Kuhns) Nutter, his loving wife Iona, 2 brothers, 5 sisters and his son-in-law Lonnie Baker. He is survived by his children Twilla Baker, Ralph (Linda) Nutter, Jr. and Becky (Marcus) Kabler, 9 grandchildren and multiple great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Visitation 9-10am, Friday, July 27, with Funeral Service to follow at 10:30am both at Calvary Baptist Church, 320 N. Sheridan Ave, Valley Center, KS with burial to follow at Kechi Township Cemetery.
