Richard was a man of service. He graduated from high school and joined the Marines, honorably serving his nation. Once his time in the military ended, he managed a filling station for many years. The family would move to Mulvane and worked hard for Merle Cannon at Western Auto, and for Kenny Kraus doing construction to build houses. Not one to shy away from hard work, he finished his career at Cessna until his retirement. He also was a Mason and Shriner and dedicated himself to a life of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and all seven of his siblings.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy (Shepard) Baughn; daughters, Connie Lee and Teresa Baughn; five grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Richard was a man who loved simplicity, so no services will be held at this time.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate in his memory to the Midian Shriners, Plane of Mercy.
