

Rodney was born in Ponca City, OK at Sisters of St. Joseph Hospital. Rodney lived in Tonkawa and graduated from the Jr-Sr High School in 1975. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and received an honorable discharge in 1975. After leaving the Marines, until 1985 he lived in Tonkawa.
From 1985 to 1987, Rodney received top-secret clearance to work on the B-1 Bomber. In 1987, he moved to Wichita to be near his dad and begin working for Cessna. He was laid off and began work for Bombardier Lear Jet with his dad.
He worked on multiple models doing wing and door assembly. Due to failing heath, he retired February 1, 2015. He worked for Learjet twenty-six and a half years.
Rodney married Kori, his beautiful bride on August 26, 2004. They enjoyed seventeen wonderful years together.
Rodney loved reading, music, horror and sci-fi movies. He made fun of Kori’s cooking. He was massive Star Trek fan and he had a love/hate relationship with his favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs.
His number one joy was his wife, his hip-sister, our nieces, nephews and beautiful grandchildren.
Preceding Rodney in death were his parents and grandparents, and his in-laws.
He is survived by his wife Kori, his sister Kelle Robinson (Bill), nephew Cody Warner (Whitney). Daughters Cassie and Caitie Sekula, 4 grandchildren Tommie Janell, Dennis James, Oliver Jack, and Nova May. Sisters-in-law Andrea Zimmerman (Adam), Holly Collins, Megan Fry. Nieces and nephews Austin, Avery, Archer, Dani, JJ, Charlie, Annamay, Sylas, Madison, Blakely, Haley, Hunter, Caden, Logan, Wyatt, and Mason. Great nieces Addy and Landen, great nephews Talen and great nephew pup Trappy.
